Ζητήματα ασφάλειας (ευπάθειες, κίνδυνοι, επιθέσεις κλπ) στο επίπεδο εφαρμογής. Ανάλυση των προβλημάτων ασφάλειας κατά την αξιοποίηση των τεχνολογιών διαδικτύου και μέτρα προστασίας των διαδικτυακών εφαρμογών (web applications).

Συμπεριλαμβάνονται ενότητες για την επεξήγηση και μελέτη ευπαθειών όπως: Access control flaws, Authentication flaws, Buffer overflows, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Denial of Service, Injection flaws (SQL Injection), Session Management Flaws, κ.ά.
