Abstract:
Chapter 5 deals with noun-dependent words (such as articles, adjectives and numerals) that precede the noun, providing extra information about it. A crucial property of such relations is agreement, which explains why the endings of noun-dependent words may alter in order to match the grammatical “profile” of the “head” noun. As with nouns and verbs, the introduction of the above categories is again structured on the axis of form/use.
