The study of Household Technology aims at reducing the adverse environmental impacts generated by households. Based on this assumption, Home Economists should be well aware and trained on the latest developments of household techology, its limitations and strengths. The goal of the first chapter is to present to most important milestones in the evolution of Hopusehold Technology in addition to its interrelationships to the quality of life and reduction of the environmental footprint of contemporary households.
